Holwell Rifle Club are proud to have been selected to host the finals of the
Police Athletic Association (now Police Sport UK) National Short-
in 2002 and more recently in 2015
The main 25 yard range has 10 firing points. All 10 may be used for firing .22” target rifles from the prone position and the centre 8 may also be used for shooting from the standing and kneeling positions. This range is also used for shooting Lightweight Sport Rifle and Air Pistol from 20 yards, both of these disciplines are shot from the standing position.
The airgun range is 10 metres in length and has 5 firing points. Each lane is equipped with an electrically operated target changer and 2 lanes have special lighting to enable the visually impaired to shoot..
.177” air rifles and pistols are used from the standing position.
The club is fully accessible by wheelchairs.
We have a spacious clubroom that includes a small kitchen area with facilities for making hot drinks. The entire building is centrally heated and includes two toilets, one of which is suitable for wheelchairs.
Car parking is available adjacent to the range and is floodlit whilst the building is in use.
